Frontlines: Fuel of War Editor - ^Scott^ Tuesday February 26th, 2008 at 11:23pm Just a quick note if your looking to mess around with the editor all you need to do is add "editor" to the end of your Frontlines: Fuel of War shortcut in the target line. 1. Right click on the Frontlines: Fuel of War shortcut, go to properties. 2. In the target line add the word "editor" to the end without the quotes. It should look like this if your install path is the default. "C:Program FilesTHQFrontlines-Fuel of WarBinariesFFOW.exe" editor
Ok, this seems to work:1) Open a map in the editor. One that starts with FL- , not one of the language localized variants (that end with _LOC_fra.map). It seems that the other sub-levels with names containing _fx or _skylight are used to "build" the final map. In my case I opened:"E:Program FilesTHQFrontlines-Fuel of WarGCGameCookedPCMapsMPVillageFL-Village.map"2) File->Save As to a place with NO spaces, as Forrest was kind enough to point out. Made some simple changes and saved it as:"C:kiff-ffowFL-MyVillage.map"3) Closed the editor, copied it to:"C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorMy DocumentsMy GamesFrontlines - Fuel of WarGCGameUnpublishedCookedPCCustomMapsMyVilla geFL-MyVillage.map"4) Duplicated the normal FFOW shortcut and changed the target to:"E:Program FilesTHQFrontlines-Fuel of WarBinariesFFOW.exe" FL-MyVillage.map -useunpublishedLaunching w/ that new shortcut works fine. Removing the -useunpublished switch results in the game not finding the map. I'm not sure if putting it in the normal cooked area will work (w/o the useunpublished), but we'll find out later
